Nabco trainees express how life is intolerable for unpaid stipends

The Nation Builders Corps employees lament over delayed system of payment of their due stipend since the introduction of this initiative, meanwhile government workers have already received their salaries

In an interview with some of the employees of the corps, they emphasized how life has become unbearable for them since the government refusal to enhance their permanency and to settle them their due stipends as their contract ended in October 2021.

” We can’t handle this hardship again, we are humbly waiting for our stipend to be paid”, they cried.

More over, they narrated that, the government promised them for permanent employment so they are humbly waiting.They expressed that, the Government had refused them for payment of their due stipends and permanency as promised before the 2020 general elections and therefore life has been unbearable for them.
